Breath + Posture + Movement: The Perinatal Client

Join Jacquelyn Brennan, co-founder of Pilates + Coffee and perinatal exercise specialist for a six hour course focusing on breath, posture and movement. 

What you will learn:

  • To teach correct breathing patterns and anatomy of breath.

  • Understand all of the changes that occur during the 4* trimesters of pregnancy.

  • To teach the proper modifications and progressions for the prenatal and postpartum client and explain the importance and reason behind each movement.

  • Establish core connection; the relationship between the diaphragm and the pelvic floor.

  • Teach spontaneous response of Pelvic Floor to movement

  • Create safe and effective programming for the client with diastasis recti.

  • Develop a deeper understanding of ribcage mobility and its overall effect on the health of the body.

  • Give teachers a vast knowledge of the prenatal and postpartum body so they can speak with confidence regarding all issues that may occur and they have the knowledge to develop effective, efficient and functional programming to progress the client to take on whatever activities they may desire without fear of injury and/issues.

This workshop is appropriate for all movement professionals (personal trainers, group exercises teachers, Pilates, and Yoga teachers). 

Participants will receive 6 PMA CECS for completing the workshop (petition for NASM, CSCS credits).
